 Southern Property Boundary

Natural Forests News - Feb 2009
The long running issues on the southern property boundary are being resolved with the erection of a wildlife fence that recognises the original survey. The lease of the adjoining property has agreed to erect the fence in coming the coming months after discussion with the new owner. There will be no gates in the fence and this will allow the cleared acres in the western corner to begin returning to native bush.

 Telstra track

Telstra have completed cable laying across the company's property on the eastern side, albeit at the cost of a cleared road through part of the property. This road may be useful for management purposes. It is too narrow to act as a break in a ‘hot' fire but would form a useful containment line during any fuel reduction.

 View

The view across the D'encastreaux Channel to the southern end of Bruny Island remain as serene as it always was. The clear area in the foreground is the part of the company's land that was enclosed by the previous leaseholder.
